Bio




Garrett is a composer and multi-instrumentalist living in Northern Colorado. He is currently adjunct faculty at the Larimer campus of Front Range Community College. He is also teaching freshman theory and ear training as a TA at The University of Northern Colorado, where he is pursuing a Masters of Music degree in Theory and Composition. Garrett also teaches private composition, bass, and guitar lessons out of his home.

Garrett keeps himself busy doing custom arranging and orchestrating, and music copying and engraving. Garrett encourages and accepts commissions of all sizes and ensembles for new works. He has studied composition with Dr. David Wallis, Dr. R. Evan Copley, and Dr. Bob Ehle.

Garrett is also a freelancing performer who has performed on bass and guitar with several local community ensembles and with a small jazz group. He often plays at churches in the Denver and Northern Colorado area. Garrett has studied electric and double bass in jazz, classical, and pop idioms with Ron Bland, David Rutherford, and James Vaughn.
